The Lamplight Inn has heightened our already stringent disinfecting and cleaning practices for food handling and bedroom and public area disinfecting and cleaning.
Public Areas of the Inn
Properly worn Face masks will be required for Guests and Staff in any public area of the Inn. This includes the lobby and hallways of the 1890 Building and the entrance halls of the Carriage House. This also includes the Inn’s wrap around porch if others are around, Carriage House porch and the Inn’s grounds. We are social distancing all public areas.
Hand sanitizer stations will be in the entrance of the 1890 Building and Carriage House. Linda is going nuts with her disinfecting wipes and spray and UV wand.
Check In and Check Out
A Face Mask is required by Guest and Innkeeper. Note: the Face Mask must be over your nostrils. Room keys are sterilized and placed in a plastic bag. We will not be operating at full capacity this 2020 season. We will rest our bedrooms for 24 to 48 hours between guests. Bedrooms are locked after cleaning and sterilization using an Ultra Violet Disinfection Lamp. We are finishing off the bedroom and public area with a UV wand, and constantly sanitizing all areas.
Bedrooms have been simplified! Bears, diaries, pens, shams, decorative quilts, and throw pillows are out!
Check out balance will be put on the credit card provided for deposit. Room keys are to be returned to the check out basket at front desk for sterilization.
The Inn’s Gift Shop is open, but touchless.
Daily In Room Housekeeping is suspended but Housekeeping staff will be in the buildings daily to refresh and sanitize.
A laundry basket will be in each room on check in. We would like the Guest to place their wet towels and Garbage baskets outside the bedroom door. Each day the Housekeepers will collect the used towels and room garbage. An Amenity check list will also be in the bedroom for your daily needs. Fresh towels, and Garbage bag liners and needed amenities will placed back in your sanitized laundry basket at your bedroom door each day.
Lamplight Inn Guest Breakfast
Breakfast is being served in our Sun Porch Dining Room!
Time slots will be chosen prior by the Guest!
Guests will need to wear masks, above their nostrils, until seated.
The tables will be social distanced. The waitress will keep her mask and gloves on! If getting up, the mask will need to be on! Above the nostrils please!!!
There will be a Guest menu in each room on check in.
It will be our regular menu! Just check your selections, and breakfast time (every 10 minutes between 8:30 am and 9:30 am). The menu could be dropped at the front desk the night before.
The buffets of Fruit and Granola have been taken away, but the advance menu gives us time to individually prepare.
A Note to Our Wonderful Guests
A Note from Linda: Can you tell that I am trying my best to keep the Inn a safe place to visit, but have a problem with guests wearing the Mask the wrong way.
I do not want to be the “Mask Police”. Please respect the other guests and wear it the right way
inside our halls and Main rooms and around our grounds.
We will do our best to keep everyone well and let you have a nice getaway. We have a very flexible Cancellation Policy. Please do not come if you are not feeling well, there will be no loss of deposit.
The Inn is catering to couples who want to relax and just get away. We also have a wine list and INNdulgences you can preorder.
